On September 10th, I’ll be speaking to Prior Lake Savage Community Education on the topic “Overcome Your Fear of Public Speaking”. The talk will last about 20 minutes and then we’ll just do a workshop on public speaking for the remainder of the hour session. This will be a relaxed, fun evening that is designed to help you to understand your fear of public speaking. I’ll help you develop a deep understanding of “Why” you fear it, and then give you some concrete actions that you can take to deal with your fears effectively. We will spend some time discussing how our brains work, and how sometimes they work against us. You’ll learn how you can break the habit of negative talk and fear-based thinking. We will reshape your focus so that you can be confident in speaking in front of an audience and be certain that you will not mess up.
When we’re done, you’ll understand what has been causing you to panic, and will be able to choose a less stressful, and less paralyzing path. You’ll gain control of your thinking so you can speak with confidence to any audience. I will provide you and your friends with tips and tricks to allow you to present like a pro. I’ll help you learn how to relax and provide you with 10 great ideas to incorporate into your next killer public speaking engagement. Please consider joining us and attending with a friend.
We’ll be meeting at Prior-Lake Savage’s Twin Oaks Middle School on September 10, Wednesday night, at 7:00 PM in Room 304. You can sign up for this class, #4431 by navigating to www.priorlakesavagece.com, and selecting adult fall 2014. I hope to see you on September 10 for this course, and will be blogging about the following two courses in the coming days. Try something different and come on out to see how much fun Community Education can be. Let me know if you’re planning to come on out!
